Last year I was the president of the BayFront Chamber of Commerce, and being an owner of a marketing company, I quickly realized that the chamber’s website was updated and maintained by the web design company, and was shocked on how much the chamber was paying.
The biggest part of the problem was that the chamber did not know how to update and maintain their website because it was built on WordPress which can be very complicated for a lot of users.

WordPress different story. Wordpress has all the bells and whistles, but very complicated to manage unless you are experienced with WordPress.
Bottomline, Don’t get trapped by a graphic designer and find yourself with a website that you don’t know how to manage. The Weebly’s and Wix’s are still powerful and will work for most businesses.
